Not that I like the fascist, neo liberal con-men and -women, and warmongers - and there will be plenty of opportunities in the coming months to take a stand, but it is of vital importance to my mind, that we understand what is behind this system forcing us against each other, literally “at all costs”. That’s why I sat down with Graham and worked out another program on the scarcity of finance - being the ultimate diabolical construct, which needs to be reformed, as much as we have to stop the present and future wars.

This time I started the program with some collages containing clips from the video “zeitgeist”, and other media clips. Our talk resumes with feedback from listeners, and readers responding to Kaputt Radio # 12 $$$ stop ! and think for a moment” as first show on this subject posted 2008 January 20 at:

Kaputt Radio’s # 16 was the effort of 22 hours over 3 days spent to throw my bile at the manipulators of the human psyche, trying old scary stories to penn in everyone.
Show # 17 came about as to point out that an Emporer without clothes still kills, maims, tortures, wire-taps citizens, steals money off other people, and lame duck status or not,

Hello people,
things are slower and slower on the local internet. I wonder whether it has anything to do with 3 cables being severed in the Middle East.
Kaputtradio # 15 staying at home - came out of the need to bring out some local news, the inability to surf the net during the last 2 weeks, and generally being fed up with US presidential election media froth and foam.
I am preparing another [shorter] program with Graham about $$$ scarcity finance with taking up the feedback we received from the first show “KR # 12 $$$ stop! and think for a moment”.
There will be some explanations on why we have a problem, and specifically the nature of this problem destroying ourselves and the livable planet. Also prepared is a text by Graham which we will publish on Graham’s blog - [see his blog] to further help the understanding of the nature of money being a scarce commodity by its definition in the present finance system.
Finally Adrienne recorded a local Aboriginal elder Lewis Walker talking about the destruction of pristine wildernes area of Washpool, Timbarra by looging and mining companies. [2 mins]
Check it out at:

Our overall goals are contained in the report, Sustainability within a Generation. The report outlines how a long-term national plan with clear targets and timelines would generate less pollution and waste and improve the quality of life for all Canadians.

The policy changes in Sustainability Within a Generation are simple and involve a common theme: making the market work better. For example, Canada still subsidizes polluting industries such as mining and oil exploration. Instead, Canada should use a preventative approach, which is less expensive than cleaning up after environmental degradation occurs. Our recommended legislative changes would make polluters pay and benefit good environmental performers, which would put Canada ahead both environmentally and economically.

“The risks are not only financial, some of the emerging money technologies could create a society more repressive than anyone of us thought possible. More importantly major opportunities are also becoming available: now more than ever it has become possible to address some of the most critical issues of our times, such as enabling more meaningful work, fostering cooperation and community, even realigning long-term sustainability with financial interests. None of this is theory, real-life implementations have pragmatically demonstrated such results. Combining these innovations can make available a world of Sustainable Abundance within one generation.”

“The degradation of the environment due to short-term financial priorities can similarly be addressed with pragmatic money innovations. Short-term thinking is shown not to be due to human nature, but to the prevailing money system. It is also possible to reverse this process, by using a currency designed specifically for multinational trade and contracts which would make long-term thinking a spontaneous process, focusing the attention on long-term sustainable solutions without the need for regulations or taxation.”
